Imagine you lost your visual understanding of the world entirely.

This project's approach was to visualize a text photographically from Dr. Oliver Sacks, a British neurologist and author. His books were mostly collections of case studies of people with neurological disorders.

I've chosen the story «The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat.»

Starting at a written text and adapting it into a visual language was a refreshing and joyful experience. It was a journey to empathize with the protagonist Dr. P., a former music professor who had entirely lost his visual understanding of the world.

The photographs capture the surreality of dimensions in space and reality.
